The new Snoopy, Peanuts Cartoon Series will produce by the Apple. In a press report, Apple repeats that they will produce a new animated series starring Snoopy and the Peanuts gang for its video platform. This was created by the late American cartoonist Charles Schulz.
This report also revealed that the agreement was reached with Apple, “in a highly competitive environment“. At the expense of other candidates with the Canadian group DHX Media that holds 80% of the rights of Snoopy and Peanuts.
A new animated series, a bunch of kids with the dog Snoopy, special and short program around the Peanuts gang, are promised for DHX. Exclusively the Apple will also include the educational program for the Peanuts gang, that created by the Canadian group.
In 1950, Schulz illustrated and wrote the Peanuts cartoon strip. According to Charles M. Schulz Museum, in February 2000, the final strip ran in newspapers, just one day after his death. In 2017, the DHX bought this stake and rights to Peanuts gang member Peppermint Patty for $345 million.
Some media announced, the Apple brand’s ambition, that means, the agreement between Apple and DHX Media, will launch in 2019, that will belongs to its own video-on-demand service and offers exclusive content. The video content now available on the iTunes platform which was produced by third parties, not as a subscription, this accessible one by one.
