What Is Google Assistant | How Does It Work
WHAT IS GOOGLE ASSISTANT
The Google Assistant is upgrading or extension of Google Now and it is designed to be personal. It knew your meeting locations, travel plans, your most favorite sports team and also knew where you work etc.
The Google Assistant means, Google’s voice-controlled smart assistant.
For voice searching, voice commands, letting you do things like sending messages, voice-activated device control we used “OK Google” or “Hey, Google“. Assistant can understand your context and it can react in an informed way. It gives voice control a lot more power and moves it on from only specific commands or phrases.
We can see the Google Assistant on so many devices like as speakers to cars, fridges to a headphone etc. In 2016, May the Google first launched its Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones with Google Assistant Google I/O and after that their Google Home, Wear OS and other running Android phones also come with it.
The Google’s Assistant has spread widely and they did not stop with only their own hardware, they made the partnership with many other companies and spread in other ways, for example, LG’s G7 ThinQ has come with Google Assistant button. Google is taking on Alexa, Siri, and Cortana with its own Assistant voice.
Google says that Assistant will be able to call and book appointments for you in the future. During 2018, other six new voices are coming to Google Assistant, singer-songwriter John Legend is one voice of them.
WHICH DEVICES OFFER GOOGLE ASSISTANT
The Google Assistant was seen for the first time on the Google Pixel, Google Home and, now Google Assistant is available on Were Os devices, Android TV and Nvidia Shield plus Android Auto. Google Home, the smart speakers and it also offer Google Assistant. The Philips Hue is controlled by Google Assistant. So many appliances headphones and smart speakers also offer you.

The Lenovo Smart Display will sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording 720p video and will be available with both 8-inch and 10.1-inch screen options and for vertical use, it can be flipped 90-degrees. The device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 624 processor, 2GB RAM and 4GB of storage and this are only used to store the files needed for Google Assistant to work.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PHONE HAS GOOGLE ASSISTANT?
If you want to check that, Google Assistant has support on your phone, then press-and-hold the home button or say “ok Google“, that long press will launch Assistant and a page will be popping up to ask how it can help, it will happen on Nougat or Marshmallow devices because they have the update. When you will do this process, you can type or speak and will get an Assistant to do your work very easy.
