How To Hide The Taskbar On Windows 10

Do you want to hide your Windows 10 taskbar but can not do that because the processes are unknown to you? Here is the solution to your problem. In this article, I have stated two easy ways to hide the taskbar on Windows, using Command Prompt, and using the Settings. You just know both methods and choose any one process as per your choice.

WAY NUMBER ONE
  • HIDE THE TASKBAR AUTOMATICALLY BY USING COMMAND PROMPT

  1. Firstly, type cmd in the Windows Search bar and open the Command Prompt. There, choose the Command Prompt app from the search result.
  2. To automatically on the hide option in Command prompt, run the following command: powershell -command “&{$p=’HKCU:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3′;$v=(Get-ItemProperty -Path $p).Settings;$v[8]=3;&Set-ItemProperty -Path $p -Name Settings -Value $v;&Stop-Process -f -ProcessName explorer}”
  3. Run the following command to toggle the taskbar auto-hide option to off : powershell -command “&{$p=’HKCU:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3′;$v=(Get-ItemProperty -Path $p).Settings;$v[8]=2;&Set-ItemProperty -Path $p -Name Settings -Value $v;&Stop-Process -f -ProcessName explorer}”

  • HIDE THE TASKBAR AUTOMATICALLY IN SETTINGS

  1. On your PC desktop’s anywhere do right-click, and then from the popup menu select the Personalize option.
  2. There, the Settings window will come, and you next select Taskbar in the left-hand pane.
  3. As another option, you could right-click the taskbar itself, then select Taskbar Settings.
  4. No matter the method (1 and 2) or (3), any you choose you to have to come in the Taskbar Settings menu. After coming in the taskbar Settings menu, you just toggle the slider to ON of the option Automatically Hide The Taskbar In Desktop Mode. You can also toggle ON the Automatically Hide The Taskbar In Tablet Mode if your PC support that.
  5. Finally, your taskbar will seems automatically hide. Keep in mind, without getting a notification from an app in the taskbar, and alternately, without wavering your mouse over where the taskbar should stand, the taskbar will not appear.

If in future any time you would want to undo this, you can do that very easily, for this, you have to toggle the sliders back to the OFF layout.
