How To Create A Shortcut (Windows)

There are two easy methods to create a Windows Shortcut. If you will want to create Window Shortcut, you must have to follow one of the steps below:-


1. Create Shortcut Using Microsoft’s Wizard:-

To create a shortcut by using Microsoft’s Wizard, at first – move to the location or folder you want to create the shortcut, right-click on an empty location of the folder or screen and, New>Shortcut or Create Shortcut.

For Windows 7 and earlier open, Windows Explorer click, in the menu at the top –File>New, and select Shortcut. Once in the shortcut wizard window, you can browse to the location of the file for which you want to create the shortcut.


2. Create A Shortcut Within The Folder The Program Reside:-

The easiest methods of creating a shortcut are to do so in the folder. Follow the steps below to do this-

Firstly, open the folder or directory that contains the program you want to create a shortcut for in Explorer, then right-click on the program and select Create Shortcut.

Doing so will create a shortcut named “Shortcut to <your program>” in the Current Directory (if you want to rename this shortcut, right-click the file and select Rename) after that you can Copy or Cut this shortcut and paste it anywhere to execute this program and you can also Rename this shortcut at anytime.
