When you got the message like BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) it can probably due to your Corrupted Windows or your windows be corrupt soon.

Now, most of you think, you have to Re-install the windows copy and have to install all your application software again, it’s such a boring thing to do.

But you have another options to fix this problem, namely  SFC(System File Checker).

SFC do the scan for repairing damaged file in windows system drive after found it and will try to fix them up, if the tool can’t fix the corrupted files then you have to reinstall the windows copy again.

How to start SFC

In order to execute SFC you need to go to the command line you can choose PowerShell or Command Prompt its depending on your windows version, but both must run in Administrator mode. After opening command line type sfc/scannow and press the Enter key.

It will start scanning for corrupted files and after completing the scan it will inform you that your system has any Corrupted file or not. If it found any corrupted file it will try to fix them up.

If your windows cannot boot up to the OS then it is impossible to run CMD or PowerShell. But you still have other methods to run command line, Here we tell you about two methods.

Go to Recovery Mode and launch Command Prompt.(Press F8 on startup fo going Recovery Mode) For WIN10

You can run SFC on other working Windows Machine and make it your one working too. For this, you need to connect the hard drive to other working Computer and run SFC command into it.

How To Repair Corrupted Windows (Using SFC)Here the command you need to type in command prompt  sfc/scannow/offbootdir=e:\/offwindir=e:\windows here “e” stands for the corrupted drive you just replace “e” with your drive letter.


If this is not working then you have to reinstall windows again or repair it via windows operation disk.
