New iPhone XS Max Display Zoom feature
The Display Zoom feature is the biggest difference between iPhone XS MAX and iPhone XS. This difference between iPhone XS MAX and iPhone XS is an accessibility feature which makes content on the screen appear larger than the default resolution.
On iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, this Display Zoom features can be seen, just similar to new iPhone XS MAX. But, this feature is still not introduced on iPhone XS, like as older iPhone, the iPhone X.

Display Zoom showed a version of the operating system that designed for much smaller screens but scaled up. So, the Dynamic Zoom appears a difference on iPhone 6 Plus and other 5.5-inch phones, but, on iPhone 6 and other 4.7-inch phones, this is not as fine as above mentioned phones. For a 4-inch phone, the effect was the same as running an app, this likes as iPhone 5 a larger screen without support full resolution.
The iPhone X and iPhone XS support no smaller versions of apps which can scale up for Display Zoom because The iPhone X and iPhone XS have a larger 5.8-inch display but a different aspect ratio to iPhone 5 and iPhone 6.
New iPhone XS MAX and iPhone XR
The iPhone XS MAX supports a larger 6.5- inch display and offers the same aspect ratio of iPhone X, apps designed for iPhone X and iPhone XS can scale up on iPhone XS MAX in Display Zoom. The Display Zoom effect has the visually less eye-catching effect on iPhone XS MAX (likely iPhone XR). Hence, the 4-inch screens, the 4.7-inch screens and 5.5-inch screen is remarkable than the 5.8-inch screens, the 6.1-inch screens, and the 6.5-inch screen.
The iPhone XR features a larger 6.1-inch display with same aspect ratio as iPhone X (the same practical resolution as iPhone XS MAX, only 2x instead of 3x), these means we can easily see the Display Zoom features on iPhone XR.
