They say that it’s the world’s first phone with an aperture that can be physically changed, which is an interesting piece of tech by itself. 1. Daylight Macros Camera Comparison With Samsung Galaxy S9+

The Galaxy S9+ produces well-defined edges with the best sharpness of an image. In less harsh sunlight and a light breeze, the Galaxy S9+ has produced the best hit ratio, and it gets a white balance.

Some time in Pixel 2 XL images looks a bit dull because its brightness level is on the lower side. But it can manage good detail.  In less harsh sunlight and a light breeze, the Pixel 2 XL, able to produce a very sharp image but its images color looks different from the original.

For the captivating shot, the iPhone X has the vibrancy in the colors because it has the best white balance. In less harsh sunlight and a light breeze, the iPhone X, zooming in reveals slight haziness around the edges of the petal’s that are in focus. In low light landscape, the Galaxy S9+ offers, the cleanest image of the three and even at a 100 percent crop and there’s no visible noise in the buildings in the distance, the iPhone X offers, to capture the best dynamic range but doesn’t fare too well with details in distant objects and the Pixel 2 XL offers  lower brightness but it manages good detail in distant objects at the cost of some noise.

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ offers the sharpest image here when you zoom in all the way, and the iPhone X and the Galaxy S9+ gives slightly better dynamic range and brightness at night.

8.  Selfie Camera

The Pixel 2 XL has an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies, but with fixed focus and a f/2.4 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ has an 8-megapixel sensor with autofocus and a f/1.7 aperture, and the iPhone X has a 7-megapixel sensor, with a f/2.2 aperture and fixed focus. They are capable of depth effects.

For low light selfies, the Galaxy S9+ also manages to give you a well-lit selfie and background, ends up overexposing certain areas and the detail on our subjects t-shirt is not visible. The iPhone X manages to expose the scene properly but it can capture a slightly noisy image. The Pixel 2 XL exposure is wonderfully handled, colors well represented and details are spot on.

9.  Low Light Macros

The Pixel 2 XL manages better color reproduction & sharpness. Without artificial light source in very low light, the Galaxy S9+ captures good colors with white balance.  iPhone X  place second for good color accuracy but it little messed up with Exposure but it managed well to light up the scene.

10.  Videos Camera Comparison

The Samsung Galaxy S9+, Google Pixel 2 XL, and iPhone X also support 4K video recording. This year, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ catches up with iPhone X by also supporting 4K 60fps.

The Pixel 2 XL support 4K  30fps. It has good levels of a dynamic range of color and color saturation is a bit more toned. The iPhone X has the most neutral tone, it delivered the dynamic range and good detail. The Samsung Galaxy S9+ doesn’t offer the most natural color tone. When you shotting nature with Samsung Galaxy S9+, a noticeable bias towards the greens does appear a bit jarring.

The iPhone X and the Galaxy S9+ can shoot slow motion, 1080p video at 240fps, the Pixel 2 XL, which does 240fps at only 720p and the Samsung Galaxy S9+  can shoot at 960fps super slow motion footage.

If we compare for low light video shotting then we know that the iPhone X has the best stabilization among the three phones, while keeping noise and colors in check. But, the Galaxy S9+ also does a good job of keeping noise in check and smoothing out your movements, exaggerated colors can seem a little jarring at times. The Pixel 2 XL has slightly noisier footage compared to the other two but its stabilization is good.
